Well it's not like I am a huge poster, but I thought I would announce my absense from the forum for a few weeks, starting tomorrow night.
Me and the very soon to be Mrs. Itching are fleeing the countrey to wed in Greece. So - as much as I would like too, time spent island hoping will likely mean, I will probably spend no time at all reading these forums.
Catch all you guys when I get back.

Well 6 weeks is up - and it went way too quickly.
I can definately now recommend the following;
I can definately now recommend the following;
- A south african safari - a real life, wild bull elephant standing within 5 metres of you is something un-describable (not at kruger)
- Check out the pyramids - frickin massive
- Jordan - not as muslimy as you might suspect
- Barcelona - right up there with paris and london imo
- Getting married on the greek islands - give it a go, its been 2 whole weeks and we are still not divorced

Food was great, I tried a few new things
Kudu (sp) which is a little springbok type animal in South Africa
Bulls tail in Spain, which is pretty much just ox tail i guess
and Proper English black pudding, which was very black and salty
I must say though, we spent 2 weeks driving around Spain and their food is amazingly nice. Really good quality stuff and alot of care goes into the way they cook it. We try to stay away from touristy places, basically try and bump into ppl our age and ask them what is nice. eg. some guys we met in a pub in valencia were telling us only tourists eat paella with sea food real spaniards eat it with rabbit, and true to his word it was really good.
Greece and Spain, I think, have the best food. Must be inversely related to the state of the economy. In all seriousness those 2 countries are screwed, Greece especially is noticibly worse then 18 months ago when I last went. but if i lived in either of those places id be a huge fat arse. I managed to put on 4.5 kg in my time away.

Guinea pig is the go in South America I'm told. Deep fried bugs in soy sauce in Vietnam. Brilliant that you tried the local produce.
