morden st sunnybank hills is investor capital.
investors renovate and try to sell at a premium, but it's always a gold dipped turd. the rent gets upped more regularly than the stock exchange index. with dubious tenants.
20% of houses in morden st are for sale at any time (and it's only got around 50 houses in the st)

We do have an investor street. It is the one street in the town with those butt ugly tiny little postwar cement brick houses on it. Noone wants to buy them to live in (they have zero character) so they take ages to sell, tend to be quite cheap and are invariably rentals.
Different kind of investor to the city kind that just puts a coat of paint on anything and sells it 6 months later.

I got mail today addressed to "The brisbane property investor" at my address. Maybe I live in a street where we invest in that kind of thing.
Hilariously they had a massive typo in their flyer: "-3.99% management fees" everywhere else it was written as 3.99% but in the bold bit it was negative.

This is low lying land from memory. It used to flood regularly around Sunnybank railway station. Hasn't rained a lot in Brisbane for a while. Maybe that's why they've risen. Not the area of Sunnybank I would prefer.
