Rainbow Warrior is avenged and NZ avoids recession. Well done kiwis you have had a rough year. :)

That game was a travesty. A fix. McCaw and co spent so much time illegaly in French territory handling players and the ball that they really needed a passport. Whilst Australia were awful Joubert let them do it in the semi as well, did you see Genia get swamped by offside players?

Bring back rucking and McCaw would be on a white sheet with tubes coming out of him.

I got red carded in 89 for breaking a blokes jaw (unlucky punch) when the ref wouldn't do his job.

Fact: In 91, 95, 99, 03 and 07 when NZ lost the RWC it was to British refs who ping 'em for offside, hands in the ruck, and diving off the feet. When they lost to Australia at Suncorp a few months ago it was an English ref who kept pinging them, quite rightly. They have evolved from the hard men in the 80s and preceding decaded upon decade to f***ing cheats no ways about it. They are such damn good rugby players they don't need to be. I won't spend a cent to watch a Bledisloe cup game unless the ref is from France or Britain. The Saffers let them get away with murder.

The French were magnificent. They ran the ball 105 times!!! Dusautoir an icon of clean, fair and skilled rugby.

France should of won that game if only the ref was more consistent. Imagine if he had given a penalty to the French in that last 5 minutes, NZ would have collapsed upon him.
I watched the game in a packed Irish pub in Switzerland. Every time France did something well there were only a few cheers. I am still not sure if they were all expat kiwis or just French hating Swiss. I certainly enjoyed watching the kiwi supporters squirm.

I was expecting a rout NZ's way. France have been the dirtiest team on earth in the past but this time they played out of their skins. NZ were lucky to come away with it in the end. Completely unmemorable performance though. It should have been a rout. Over the tournament I think NZ deserved the win. The french sh*t me. <_<

As a proud Queenslander, can I place a tribute on this forum to the late, great Arthur Beetson.
I remember the first State of Origin game, where Arthur played. I think he was forty at the time.
I extend condolences to his family and friends.
Rest in peace.

Artie did a lot for charity so yes it is a great loss. The few words he spoke carried more weight for it.

On todays woeful cricket performance we can but lament the dominance of such men in cricket. I fear what India will inflict upon us. Can we please lose Ponting? Is he a selector? No! Then why is he allowed to keep selecting himself. Bet he plays boxing day.
