The trouble began around noon, when a 32-year-old housekeeper entered Strauss-Kahn’s room at the Sofitel on West 44th Street — apparently unaware he was still inside. The married Strauss-Kahn was in his bathroom, said sources. He emerged naked, grabbed her and "he jumps her," a source said.

Then, Strauss-Kahn allegedly threw the housekeeper on the room’s bed and forced her to perform oral sex on him, said the sources.

The maid managed to break free and ran to a hotel worker to tell what happened, said a source. Soon afterward, Strauss-Kahn got dressed and headed off to Kennedy Airport for his flight to Paris.

When he was approached on the plane by Port Authority cops, he said, "What is this about?" sources said. He was then taken off without handcuffs.

Two law enforcement sources said Strauss-Kahn was trying to flee the US. Police said he left his cellphone and other personal items in the room.

Strauss-Kahn, who had a meeting planned for today with German chancellor Angela Merkel, has a special arrangement with Air France that allows him to get on any flight and sit in first class, the sources said. He was traveling alone.

I'd say the guy has been set up. He probably dialed out for a hooker and they sent in the cleaner.

Who, I guess, was cleaner:)

What is this recent fascination with sex setups (like Assange)? Surely Clinton proved that the public doesn't really care.

Bit of difference between Clinton's consensual experience and Strauss-Kahn.

And I thought that Clinton proved the opposite, that the US is still nuts for a sex scandal.

Assange news seems to have died down a lot. I thought extradition hearings should have been heard by now.

Nuts for the goss, yeah. But they don't really care about the right and wrong of it anymore.

Me too.
If he did dial out a hooker, there would be a clear phone record of that dial out.
He was probably really pissed at the time.
Admitting that he thought he was dealing with a hooker is unlikely to get him off, and only have the effect of raising the question of who might have orchestrated sending in the cleaner in place of the hooker, which might lead to a little accident or suicide. Which way he plays it might depend on his fear of dying thresh-hold. Pure speculation of course.

No hooker, no nothing - remember that the simplest answer is usually the correct one.

Someone I know very well worked as a cleaner in a hotel for a (very) short while and something similar to this situation happened to her - very, very unpleasant. With a very well known sporting identity who was apparently willing to pay her quite a lot to keep it quiet.

From what I've heard, this sort of behaviour is very common - the only surprise is that this time it hit the media.

The rich and famous really do think they are different.

The moral of the story? - Don't let your womenfolk work in hotels. Seriously.

Sorry, I can understand the powerful sexually harassing, having affairs, and paying for sexual favours in money, jobs and other benefits, but rape of staff in a hotel room, knowing that he was probably having ever move being watched by his opponents or others. Surely he was not that stupid unless of course he was in a self destruct mode, or on drugs of some sort (alcohol or other). In this case I would put my money on the simplest answer not being the correct one. Just my punt, not that I really care.

Someone I know very well.... And you expect me to believe that.

Of course not. No one should ever believe anything they read on the internet.

But you might want to think about it a bit.

Good idea. Sometimes I even read stuff I wrote earlier, and don't believe it.

I had a run in with someone quite high up in the echelons of power in Queensland. I have ZERO doubt in my mind that they think differently to the majority of people. In fact I had trouble coming to grips with what I had encountered until I learned more about Psychopaths (real life Psychopaths not media images of).

Thinking that Psychopaths think like "we" do is just begging to become a victim.

Looks like the hooker is going to get deported. Draw your own conclusions from the situation as explained in the below 3 articles. Particularly the 3rd one
http://www.telegraph...ries-mount.html
http://www.france24....-paris-new-york
http://www.independe...ng-2811868.html

Quote

The conspiracy of choice centres around the the 2115 Café on Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem, New York, where the hotel chambermaid who accused Strauss-Kahn of criminal sexual assault used to spend much of her free time.

There is reported to be a series of particularly interesting photographs on the walls of the cafe.

One shows the owner, Ibrahim 'Abe' Fofanah, 46, gripping and grinning with a police captain; another shows him with the New York City police commissioner, Ray Kelly.

But the most interesting is one of the owner with Alpha Condé, who was elected last November as president of Guinea, the country from which DSK's accuser immigrated to the US before requesting asylum.

Condé also has extensive ties to major political players in France, including people close to -- you've guessed it -- both President Nicolas Sarkozy and Strauss-Kahn.

Oh well. Looks like I was on the right track with my conspiracy theory.
