I feel bad

spent quite a bit this Xee-mass.

Son younger is getting a whole flash piano and a 3DS and a couple of games - more than 4k in total (3k came form his savings account and, as he is becoming an impressive muscisan, why not spend on that?).
Son older gets a tele and new trendy shoes, some cash and some other stuff - around 700 in total.
the Mrs gets a flash heart rate monitor and some other stuff - 250 or so.

I put away 50-100 PFN for it - have been orgainsing my cash since I started posting here and most stuff, bar the piano, was covered by savings.
yea, I'm a softy that spoils my family but f*ck it, if you can't then waht is the point of trying to earn more at work, eh?

Yes, well... I'd need a flash heart monitor too if someone was spending up like that in my household!

However, I completely agree with the fundamental principal of spoiling your family. Otherwise, what's it all for?

So cheers, Um, and I hope you and your family enjoy your haul.

There must be some indulgence that the Xmas excuse lets you partake SG?

well i have type 1 diabetes, and although drinking heavily, chain smoking and eating wtf i like used to all be hobbies of mine. i have now taken to the strait and narrow. again and xmas inst an indulgence to me its a reminder of what a misserable f*cker i am. and what i get to not have; and no i dont want diet cake., or sugar free this or that.
i know i feel like the original grinch, and i dont particularly want to go to xmas meals,
sure i can just inject more insulin the more i eat, but that way just leads to super fatness.

so i just sit around scowling all day waiting for it to end,

SG - commiserations. That truely sucks.

Someone helpfully asked the Australian population what the most important part of Xmas was for them, and 85% came back with the food being the part they enjoyed most... so presumably only 15% of us are not horrified at your plight.

In your situation I'd make sure that lobster featured prominently on the menu... you don't have a seafood allergy, do you?!

My sincere commiserations SG. That's tough to bear. +1 on the lobster.
