I think they'll fall eventually here to - but not until after an initial media, panic and false shortage (excess homes for sale causing a rental shortage) driven upswing. Seems to me we are enterring this upswing now. Asking rents will go up for a bit at the same time as units for sale increases - but once they both start going down, they'll both keep going down for as long as it takes.

I can see them falling here too as people per dwelling has dropped and in the same time sizes of houses built have been larger than in the past.
