Who wants to do the inflation-adjusted maths?!

Quote

The former champion swimmer Ian Thorpe has sold his Sutherland Shire waterfront home to another sporting legend, the NSW State of Origin coach Ricky Stuart, for $2.65 million.

But its sale reflects the shire’s tough selling conditions, as it has been sold at $250,000 less than the $2.9 million paid in 2003 for the Port Hacking waterfront....

He also bought a $710,000 Thirroul investment apartment in the name of James Thorpe. Set in the seaside pocket south of Wollongong, it was sold for $655,000 in 2010.
