Has anyone seen the new Bubblepedia forum? (http://bubblepedia.com.au/forums)

Although the front page with the news links is same, the forum has recently changed.

Some of the content has a bit more punch too eg. this exposure of astroturfing and photo fakery will give the vested interests something to think about.

True. Its interesting that Liam, Michael and co are still out there, not that I give a sh*t.

Debt Deflation is on so no need to be anything. Its now about how to get out.

Wifey and I are in debate.

Agreed BLM. They can spit in the wind all they want, they just end with a face covered in spit.

My wifey is a bit stroppy that it might drag on for many years. She wants to get on with life. I say this is not incompatible.

Tell her it's a choice between eating dog food or steaks when you retire. Not much to debate! Otherwise it's a tough sell...

Ms clown seems content at the moment with the falls in prices. I don't think I'll get away with waiting to purchase outright but I will give a damn good go.

What an odd set of statements. Bubblepedia works and looks the same to me. Perhaps I've missed something?

I'm moving interstate on a requested transfer next near once we are empty nesters. We have agreed to rent in the new locale as the crash is now accepted as a gimme and a debt deflation spiral is now the issue to be watched. The debate is whether to flick the current pile of rubble before it asymptotes to 50% of its value, pocket the cash and put it in a TD or rent it out as it will be nominally cash flow neutral to positive. Mrs M is starting to come across to 'find a greater fool' before we get to Ireland 2009 and flick it. She's starting to see and hear whats happened to Ireland, Spain, California etc and now realises its not doomsayers etc, its real, its Minsky.

Gee whiz, it wasn't that great a posting to get replicated. Bit of common sense really...

Revert2Mean PMd me as 'BottomFeeder' as a local username. Mods are his bana fides kosher or is he trolling me?

He seems to be A+ on his own forum.

Edit: wasn't B'pedia run by a Dan Cox or something? An anaesthetist from memory? A username of BottomFeeder seems a bit off piste for a medico. :dontgetit:

I don't think it's the same guy. The forum seems to devote threads to outing peoples real identity. I don't really approve of that sort of thing.

I like a good rant against the deceit and duplicity of the property industry, the lack of transparency, the conflict of interests, the nexus between the RE and the media and the whole governmental-property complex as much as the next man. I rant here sometimes. But I like to rant on a full stomach and they don't even have a recipe thread.

RTM/nomad/bottom feeder is a serious weirdo. after hundreds of posts at BP i got warned for asking if someone had been banned. i asked how to delete my account as i didn't want to be associated with a forum that was banning it's most respected and prolific posters. the post was deleted. eventually i managed to get banned. Most of BP's most prolific and best posters got banned. the forum is fast becoming RTM talking to pauk and a few others. sad. house price for aussies would roll over in his grave if he hadn't purchased a property.

bubblepedia refugees - feel free to post here. you will only be banned if you fail to contribute to the mandatory recipe thread within 30 days of joining. directions to a take away are acceptable. this is mostly a bearish site, so might suit you more than APF. members - go easy on any refugees; they don't speak very the good English.

This poll, says APF is mostly bearish -- Is APF a bear forum or a bull forum? And which team is winning?

I would have thought that the fact that folks are taking losses on sales and discounting in the real world is more relevant than any forum's bias. Rumpled Elf is no property vested interest and lives in the back blocks of South Australia, so this forum is pretty darn cool in whatever scenario.

I just read some posts on B'pedia on why Australia is different to Spain and why to buy US dollars and it was laughable.

<delete> from interest. Mods, kill this whole thread at thy leisure.

I don't want to kill it TP. Let it fade into insignificance. The moral of the story is that moderating the internet is hard. My experience of the internet (as a netizen) is that you can get a fair hearing on most sites IMHO. I would like to think that potential posters would get a fair go here. I think the answer lies with open source review of decision making. The site names it's own rules. Like the sheriff in an old west town. In a weird sense it's almost like we are pioneers on the new frontier. Mods carry guns. We are only beginning to realise what is possible now we is all hooked up. I'm an optimist on the future of the web. It will become society in the end. In the same way as opinion has always governed the humans. Mwahahahaha!
